The importance attached to Facebook?

In Kate Beals’ essay, Faceless on Facebook I realized how important people take in consideration what others think of them. She tells us her experience on how stressing it was for her to open a Facebook account. She was terrified that nobody would want to be her friend because she might seem boring and she didn’t want to be boring. She didn’t know what picture to use, what to put down as her favorite book and movie. She later realized that it wasn’t worth it and decided not to have a Facebook.  One should not worry of what others think of us, and just live the life that we want to live in order for us to be comfortable with ourselves. To enjoy life one day at a time, it doesn't matter if you don't get any friend request.
