NORBIT

Winter has arrived!!! What better to do that to make some hot chocolate and watch a couple of movies surround by family, friends, or a love one. Choosing a movie can be hard but if you’re looking for some romance and comedy, a movie that I would recommend everyone to see is Norbit released in 2007 starring Eddie Murphy, Thandie Newton, Terry Crews, Clifton Powell and many more. The movie is about a sweet nice orphan, Norbit, who is friend with Kate, another orphan. Kate gets adopted and Norbit doesn’t see her until their adults, when she returns back to the town, to buy the orphanage. Norbit who is married to Rasputia, who is an overweight woman, feels protected by her and was tricked in marring her. When Norbit see that Kate is back in town, he remembers all the great times they spend together when they were young. When Kate comes to the town she comes engage to Deion. Norbit later figures something out that changes his life for the best. If you feel that you haven’t laughed in a while I recommend you to seeing this wonderful movie. Enjoy your MOIVE NIGHT.

Not As CRAZY As I Seem by Gorge Harrar

In these couple of weeks, I have been reading a novel called Not As Crazy As I Seem by George Harrar which is about a boy named Devon, who develops OCD around the age of twelve and his parents have no clue on how he developed these tendencies. When I began reading this book, I quickly got into the scene as if I were there and could imagine everything that was going on; this book is really a page-turner. There were no moments where the novel got boring; it was really interesting as the keep on reading on and on, it got really intense especially in the end. Devon always knew people thought of him as weird, so he never bordered making friends he just focus on his studies, and doing everything his way, so nobody he loved got hurt. In the conversation Devon has with his doctor, “’I stayed awake until I heard them go to bed. Then I sneaked the blocks is the Box’ ‘And your granddad didn’t die’ ‘ Not then he didn’t, no. I saved him that time’” (137). Devon has many tendencies and he if doesn’t do them correctly he believes that someone he loves is going to get hurt. If I were to tell you, how Devon develop his tendencies it would ruined the novel for anyone that decides to read it. During the novel Devon only made two friends Tanya and Ben, they both have a huge impact in Devon life and make him experience different situations he has never dared to do or experience. I believe that if anyone has extra time they should read this book, you won’t regret it; you’ll be thanking me.
