Not As CRAZY As I Seem by Gorge Harrar

In these couple of weeks, I have been reading a novel called Not As Crazy As I Seem by George Harrar which is about a boy named Devon, who develops OCD around the age of twelve and his parents have no clue on how he developed these tendencies. When I began reading this book, I quickly got into the scene as if I were there and could imagine everything that was going on; this book is really a page-turner. There were no moments where the novel got boring; it was really interesting as the keep on reading on and on, it got really intense especially in the end. Devon always knew people thought of him as weird, so he never bordered making friends he just focus on his studies, and doing everything his way, so nobody he loved got hurt. In the conversation Devon has with his doctor, “’I stayed awake until I heard them go to bed. Then I sneaked the blocks is the Box’ ‘And your granddad didn’t die’ ‘ Not then he didn’t, no. I saved him that time’” (137). Devon has many tendencies and he if doesn’t do them correctly he believes that someone he loves is going to get hurt. If I were to tell you, how Devon develop his tendencies it would ruined the novel for anyone that decides to read it. During the novel Devon only made two friends Tanya and Ben, they both have a huge impact in Devon life and make him experience different situations he has never dared to do or experience. I believe that if anyone has extra time they should read this book, you won’t regret it; you’ll be thanking me.
